Welcome to Middle of Somewhere!

Middle of Somewhere Expeditions, formerly Horizons Unlimited, is an ad hoc, not-for-profit organization for the promotion of outdoor adventures and wilderness preservation. We organize vacations in the wilderness!

On this site you can find all sorts of handy information on our trips past and future, our advisors and previous participants, and even links to some other great sites. Don't forget to read our newsletter that is published 2-3 times a year.

As of this time, since we are not a licensed guide service, we have to keep our groups limited to friends and friends-of-friends, maintaining a social context for invitation. This makes us very sad, but America in the 21st century is a litigious society. Please understand. However, we ARE considering incorporation, and opening up our trips to the public in the future. You can help that happen! If you did not know of us previously, and think that the trips detailed in this site would be of potential interest to you in the future, EMAIL us.
