"On the Big Blackfoot River, above the mouth of Belmont Creek, the banks the banks are fringed by Ponderosa Pines. In the slanting sun of late afternoon, the shadows of great branches reached across the river, and the trees took the river in their arms." - - Norman Fitzroy MacLean, from A River Runs Through It

Dear Adventurers -

Welcome to Middle of Somewhere's new year! Our 2010 trips have been announced and soon we'll be releasing an entirely new website.

2009 was a fantastic year for MOS. Fourteen people went on three trips; backpacking in Colorado and New Mexico, and canoeing in Ontario. Half of those fourteen intrepid souls were new to MOS, and we've now surpassed fifty different people who have been out with us since we started in 1992.

In 2010, we're planning two backpacking trips, both to new locales for us – Montana and British Columbia. To learn more about both of these trips, visit our Upcoming Trips page.

As usual, MOS is interested in finding out where our friends want to go. So please, feel free to send us your ideas! Email us and give us your suggestions!

And if you want to discuss past or future trips with your fellow MOS'ers, visit us on Facebook.

Enjoy the adventure!

Sincerely,

--MOS Board of Advisors
